BSDU celebrated a Skill Carnival to promote the power of skills on the occasion of World Skill Day on 15th July 2020.

BSDU Skill Carnival

Bhartiya Skill Development University Jaipur celebrated a Skill Carnival on the occasion of World Skill Day on 15th July 2020 with the theme ‘Kushal Yuva Ke Liye Kaushal’.

This week-long Skill Carnival was organized to promote the power of skills, and spread awareness about skill development, and technical vocational education.

The carnival kicked off from July 12, and ended on July 18. Over 1 lakh participants registered under this Skill Carnival extravaganza event. During the week, programs such as Webinar on Future Skills, Skill Workshops, Online Skill Quiz, and a Carrier Guidance Session were organized.

Dr. Neeraj Kumar Pawan, (IAS), Chairman RSLDC, and Secretary Dept. of Labor, Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship said, “I felt privileged to join hands with BSDU, and be the part of this great opportunity for the youth of Rajasthan.

We were glad to know that Rajasthan is growing its ability in skill. I congratulate Bhartiya Skill Development University for doing this youth engagement activity.”

Prof. Achintya Choudhury, President, BSDU said, “The objective of organizing this Skill Carnival was to introduce the importance of Vocational Education for the ease of doing work in the New Normal World.

The week long activity included a series of events to promote the importance of vocational skills for daily livelihood.”

The threat of corona virus may have bought the nation to the brink of crisis, but this situation has also has proven one more time, that to remain economically strong one needs to become self-sustained.

And in tough times, the skilled ones are the most self-sustained ones, and can fulfill the country’s dream of ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’.

 Prof. Ravi Kumar Goyal, Principal, School of Entrepreneurship Skills said, “The World Skill Day, is a day to inspire the youth to develop a passion for learning skills, and so BSDU celebrates Skill Carnival to inculcate the importance of skill education in parents, and students by sharing real-time success stories about the youth.”

How one participated in the Skill Carnival?

Responding to the current pandemic, all the events were conducted online, ensuring the individual’s safety by creative engagement of students during the COVID-19 pandemic, while also spreading awareness on the importance of skill-based vocational education.

The major events of the skill carnivals included Webinar on Future Skills; Skill Workshops; Online Skill Quiz; Career Guidance Session, etc. Participation certificate were issued to all registered participants.

We encouraged participation from all the students from different schools/colleges/universities, Faculty, budding entrepreneurs, and professionals of different nationalities. Participation in the event was free, and open to all.
